2027 Coachmen Apex Nano 181RB
The 2027 Coachmen Apex Nano 181RB takes the same basic layout as our very popular Apex Nano 187RB and gives it a unique twist. You still get the dedicated front sleeping area and spacious rear bathroom that make the 187RB such a popular couples floorplan, but the 181RB adds an indoor-outdoor bar top and more open floor space.
At only 21′ 5″ long and approximately 3,644 lbs. unloaded, the 181RB keeps things lightweight and manageable while giving couples a surprisingly open interior for a trailer of this size.
Coachmen also equips the Apex Nano with 400 watts of solar, Aluma-Cage construction, dual Azdel laminated fiberglass walls, a heated and enclosed underbelly, 15,000-BTU A/C, a tankless water heater, and a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator.

A Familiar Floorplan With More Open Space
If you’re familiar with our very popular Apex Nano 187RB, the 181RB will immediately feel familiar. It follows the same basic couples-trailer concept with a dedicated front sleeping area and large rear bathroom, but replaces the traditional dining setup with an indoor-outdoor bar top.
The result is considerably more open floor space through the centre of the trailer, making the interior feel larger and less crowded without increasing the overall size of the trailer.
Indoor-Outdoor Bar Top
The indoor-outdoor bar top is what really separates the 181RB from the 187RB.
It gives you a practical place to sit down for meals, have a drink, work on a laptop, or simply enjoy the view of your campsite while keeping the centre of the trailer much more open.
For couples who liked the 187RB but wanted more floor space and a more open-concept interior, the 181RB is a great alternative.
Aluma-Cage & Azdel Construction
The Apex Nano 181RB uses Coachmen’s Aluma-Cage construction, including a vacuum-bonded laminated aluminum-trussed roof, laminated aluminum-framed floor, and vacuum-bonded laminated dual Azdel fiberglass sidewalls and rear wall.
You also get a fiberglass front cap with windshield, corrosion-resistant powder-coated frame, and heated and enclosed underbelly with forced air.
400-Watt Solar System
The 181RB comes equipped with a 400-watt solar system with charge controller, giving you additional flexibility when camping away from electrical hookups.
Coachmen also includes inverter prep, a dual battery tray, battery disconnect, USB and USB-C chargers, and Starlink prep.
The large 52-gallon fresh-water tank is another major advantage, especially considering the trailer is only 21′ 5″ long.
Kitchen & Bathroom
The kitchen comes equipped with a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator, narrow flush-mount two-burner cooktop, microwave, stainless-steel single-bowl sink with flush-mount cover, and seamless-edge countertops.
