The 2027 Coachmen Apex Nano 208BHS is our best-selling dual-axle bunk model here at Ruston RV, and the easiest way to describe it is the 186BH on steroids. You get the same family-friendly concept with double-over-double bunks, but step up to dual axles, a slide-out, more interior living space, and an available Murphy bed.
At just 24′ 11″ long and with an unloaded weight of approximately 4,556 lbs., the 208BHS gives families a lot of trailer without making the jump to a huge bunkhouse. The slide-out moves the dinette out of the main living area, creating considerably more floor space and making a noticeable difference when the whole family is inside.
And this isn’t just a lightweight bunkhouse with the basics. Coachmen has packed the Apex Nano with features that make a real difference when you’re camping, including 400 watts of solar, dual Azdel laminated sidewalls, aluminum-framed construction, a tankless water heater, 15,000-BTU A/C, and a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator.
At the rear, the double-over-double bunks give the kids their own dedicated sleeping space without having to convert the dinette every night.
The wider bunks also give you more flexibility as the kids get older, when they want to bring friends along, or when you simply want some extra sleeping room.
The dual-axle setup is another big reason families step up from the 186BH to the 208BHS. You get the added stability and weight distribution of a tandem-axle trailer along with the extra interior space provided by the slide.
It’s a big part of why the 208BHS has become our best-selling dual-axle bunk model.
The Apex Nano 208BHS is built using Coachmen’s Aluma-Cage construction, including a laminated aluminum-framed floor and vacuum-bonded laminated dual Azdel fiberglass sidewalls and rear wall.
At approximately 4,556 lbs. unloaded with a 6,000-lb. GVWR, the 208BHS gives families the space and features of a larger bunkhouse while keeping the overall size and weight manageable.
The 208BHS comes with a 400-watt solar system, helping give you more flexibility when camping away from full hookups.
You’ll also find a heated and enclosed underbelly, 48,000-BTU tankless water heater, 15,000-BTU A/C, inverter prep, Starlink prep, backup-camera prep, power awning with LED lighting, dual battery tray, and dual 20-lb. propane tanks.
The kitchen includes a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator, microwave, two-burner flush-mount cooktop, stainless-steel sink, and seamless-edge countertops.
You also get your own full bathroom with a shower/tub surround, foot-flush toilet, skylight, and power vent.
There’s a reason the 208BHS is our best-selling dual-axle bunk model. It gives you—more floor space, a slide-out, dual axles, and more room for the family, while still staying under 25 feet long.
